Avoiding Just Delays the Inevitable

May 19, 2009 I Personal Development, The Good Life.

Do you avoid negative events or move towards positive moments? Be honest. You may or may not fall into this category, but too often I feel people attempt to create positivity in their life by sidestepping (or outright ignoring) the negative events they attract over and over. Me included; there’s no soapbox here. Here’s my point: Ignoring negative circumstances does not create positive circumstances, it just postpones the negative circumstances.

This boils down to a deeper understanding of the Universal Law of Attraction:

7. The Law of Attraction:

This Universal Law demonstrates how we create the things, events, and people that come into our lives. Our thoughts, feelings, words, and actions produce energies which, in turn, attract like energies. Negative energies attract negative energies and positive energies attract positive energies.

If you’re avoiding anything (N-E-THING!), you are committing negative energy to the universe, therefore you will attract more moments, circumstances,  people, and thoughts for you to avoid. And for those who have recently brought the Law of Attraction in to practice in your life, you will learn not only will you attract these events, but you will also BE attracted to these these events, consciously and/or unconsciously.

We all must understand that negative events cannot be avoided, but, rather, positive events must be chosen and chosen from the depth of what makes us human-our consciousness. Then, at some point, you’ll find you don’t negative events to avoid anymore. You have events that feel good that you move towards, consciously.
